I am having confusion for choosing vinyl siding. Many contractors suggest to put a small foam bord in place of insulation, after they wrap the wall with tywek. The vinyl siding manufactorors' websites boasts about the insulated vinyl sidings on their energy savings. The cost is a big factor if I choose to use the insulated vinyl sidings. I compared heart-land, alside, crane, and polar - wall. Any guidence will be useful.

I have thought about using the stick and peel vinyl for a very small area 3' x 5' but its in front of a shower. I have noticed after reading several blogs people speaking of a vinyl flooring that "sticks to itself" without additional glue? Im aware of the snap and lock laminates but from they way I have read the answers it is some type of vinyl. The closest thing I could find online is resilient vinyl. So whats the diff or is it the same?

I've just leased a flat and the kitchen has some old vinyl fitted. I'm not allowed to remove it, but allowed to temporarily install my new vinyl over it an lift if when I leave in 12 months. How do I do this without marking the old vinyl underneath. It's a fairly small space with not a lot of traffic. So, the new vinyl won't stick to the old one or stain it? need help chosing a carpet and vinyl color that does not show stains and dirt easily. I am so getting a new living room set so trying to match it to that it is not a issue. I just want the vinyl floor and carpet to complement each other. The vinyl in dining room and carpet in the living room and hall way which will be carpet meets up. The kitchen and breakfast area is attached to the dining but you can't see those areas from the living room. I have no one to go look at samples with. Should the kitchen, breakfast area, and dining room all have the same type of vinyl and color or separate. Help I am open to any suggestions. All I know is that I am get a leather sofa and loveseat.

My fiancee and I just moved in together at her home. The plan is to fix it up and probably move within the next 1-3 years. She thinks that Vinyl siding is the way to go, but I think since the chances are we will be selling the house that I should just paint it myself. The vinyl tile is two years old and we bought it from Lowes. I have been mopping the floor with many cleaners, but it still seems to have like a layer of grime on the top, even though I've just cleaned it. I've been walking around my house with socks all the time to avoid feeling it on my feet. My socks always look dirty no matter how much I try to clean the floor. Is this something that happens with vinyl tile? Does anyone know what to do about this very annoying problem?

I've one existing layer of vinyl sheet which ~20 years old. I'd like to put a new vinyl sheet new. Is it best to lay the vinyl flooring on top of the existing vinyl or should the old one be removed?
